The 21st century is the century of quality and the quality is one of the key factors with which the enterprises win the market competition. Now the market is a customer-oriented buyer's market, and the quality strategy of the enterprises is customer satisfaction. In the meanwhile,the formation and realization of quality is not only limited in an enterprise which is in the supply chain environment. Therefore under today's economic environments, how to ensure the the product can satisfy customer demand and enhance the capacity of quality management by using information technology is an issue that pressingly needs solving and deserves deep researches.Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a systematic method which puts the customer demand into the design and development process by using the theory of multi-levels deductive analysis.It emphasizes that the design and development of product must be guided by the market,take the customer demand as a basis and the competitors' product as a reference. It also emphasizes that the feasibility and applicability of the product should be guaranteed at the very beginning of design and development process.Firstly,in this paper, the formation process of the manufacturing product quality is analyzed from three angles, the mission and content of quality information management are studied , the model of quality information flow is given. Secondly, the application of QFD to quality information management is studied,the source model and acquired methods of customer demand are analyzed and an example of how to get the customer demand from competitors' products. This paper mainly studies how the QFD link the enterprise with its suppliers,dealers,competitors,customers and set relation between QFD multifunctional team and the different function departments. Thirdly, the structure of the Quality Information Management System based on QFD is analyzed, the models of the QIMS includes the function model, information model, organization model and process model are built, function modules are divided and the architecture and external integration of the QIMS are studied. Eventually, QFD module is analyzed and designed, and the operation example of QFD module is given. The study results of this paper are helpful to the quality management.
