Based on the background of automatically launch a mortar jamming bomb device and automatic ramming system at home and abroad, a new scheme of automatic mortar ramming system is put forward and structure improvement of automatic ramming system is made in this paper. Further more, the dynamics simulation analysis is did on this new system to optimize the design of some components and the feasibility of this automatic mortar ramming system is discussed. Main work is shown as following:1. Base on the working principle of automatic ramming system and its work cycle, the scheme of structure improvement was put forward and 3D solid model of the new automatic ramming system was built by I-DEAS.2. Dynamic model of the new system was found by ADAMS and virtual prototype software in ADAMS was used to carry on dynamic simulation. The result of dynamic analysis was used to verify the movement of projectile driven by automatic ramming system and the improving methods were promoted according to the problems occurred in the analysis. Dynamic simulation really reflected the characteristics of this system and enhanced its reliability and accuracy.3. According to the characteristics of automatic ramming system motion process, a new type of cartridge clip was designed and its deformation rigidity was calculated. Moreover, simple transient strength analysis was carried out because the instantaneous collision force was big to the cartridge clip.At present, automatic mortar ramming system is still at development. The design and method used in this paper based on virtual prototype and the theoretical data obtained can provide some reference and application value for the following research.
