Study And Using Of The Urban Road Intersection Safety Evaluation

The road intersection is the most important part in the urban transportation at the microscopic level, and the important junction in road communication net, it also bring many accidents, so the security of the crossing has much influence with the communication safety level in the whole area. In order to enhance the urban road traffic safety performance, reduce the traffic accidents, we should make the corresponding appraisal objectively to the urban road intersection traffic safety condition, then propose rectify and reform policy, so can improve the safety performance and the operating efficiency.Firstly, the paper give us a schematic introduction about the current safety evaluation methods of plane intersection, and choose the analytic hierarchy process method as the main synthetic evaluation method. Then through to the road intersection safety system characteristic as well as influencing factor's analysis, established an evaluating indicator systems which include the path condition, the traffic flow factor, the safety equipment and manages three aspects. Referred the former research and unified some measured data analysis, used the quantity and quality union methods, we has determined each evaluating indicator and the grading standards. At last, using the analytic hierarchy process we determined the weight of each evaluating indicator and established the synthetic evaluation model.This paper the fourth chapter introduced the traffic conflict technique which takes the non-accident statistics as the foundation, stress discuss the classify of traffic conflict, the distinguish of serious conflict and non-serious conflict, and determine the measure standard and distinguish standard of the traffic conflict survey. Based on this, using the traffic conflict technique to do the plane road intersection clear signal phase safety evaluation, established eight kinds of conflict types of the road intersection, and has carried on the example analysis.Finally, using the synthetic evaluation model which this paper established carried on the safety evaluation analysis to the concrete urban road plane intersection, and proposed relevant rectify and reform policy to the existence question.
