Paper does research on the kernel technology of IEC 61850, pointing that the important character of IEC 61850 is that it introduces object-oriented method to establish uniform information models of functions in substation.The paper introduces the structure of DF3322E protection equipment and sets out the altering thought about the IEC 61850 standard to the current protection equipment of DF3322E through the IEC 61850 application. Then, the paper builds the data model of the IEC 61850 based on the protection of overcurrent controlled by undervoltage and negative-sequence voltage in the transmission-line protection equipment of DF3322E. Also, paper probes the modeling difference in the current application of logic node modeling. The paper makes component processing to agree with the IEC 61850 standard, and make the contrast to the logic graph and flow chart of the anteroposterior component.The developing equipment according to the method does processing based on the mature technology of the inhere equipment making the least altering to the inhere protection equipment.
