The small caliber air-burst ammunition plays more and more important role in both modern war and world anti-terrorist war. The burst-control technology, which is a determinative factor of the lethality of the air-burst ammunition, becomes a hot topic in many countries. In this thesis, the design rule and implementation technique of the burst point turns-counting control system of W fuze is systematically researched.The mathematic model for trajectory of projectile was established after the turns counting ranging principle was discussed. The characteristic of precision for turns counting ranging is insensitive to initial speed of the projectile is validated through simulation and calculation. Methods of burst-point control for fuze turns counting were discussed. In the section of the burst-point control implementation technique, great emphasis is put on the reason and character of geomagnetic turns-counting blind zone, and the anti-jamming method is been put forward for the fuze circuit to resist the muzzle disturbance. Then, the burst-point control circuit is designed to fulfill the requirements. Proving ground test showed that the burst point control circuit if of high precision, which will greatly improve the destroy effect to the target.Aiming at the requirements for W fuze, the reliability test and burst point precision test methods were been studied. Analysis of test results were accomplished and a set of evaluation system for reference is been put forward. The result satisfied ranging precision and lethal effect, which is helpful for further research on the small caliber fuze technology.
