Monosodium glutamate wastewater contains a large number of nutrients that microbiology can use. The use of monosodium glutamate wastewater on cultured microorganisms not only access to a large number of micro-organisms and extracellular products, but also purification of wastewater quality, and can relieve pressure on wastewater treatment. In this paper, Flammulina velutipes mycelium is used as culture substrate. Observe, the growth of Flammulina velutipes in the medium add different materials and monosodium glutamate wastewater. The purpose is to study the feasibility of mushroom cultivation in monosodium glutamate wastewater. In this paper, researched the growth of Flammulina velutipes mycelium under the right conditions at first. Through experiments mapped the growth of Flammulina velutipes and the polysaccharide yield curve. Flammalina velutipes exo-polysaccharide and intropolysaccharide are analysised by gas chromatography (GC)and infrared spectra (IR). The results show that the monosaccharide composition of Flammalina velutipes exo-polysaccharide are rhamnose, arabinose, xylose, mannose, glucose and galactose with the molar percentage of 6.04%,8.79%,14.54%,22.56%,21.49%,26.58%.The monosaccharide composition of Flammalina velutipes intropolysaccharide are rhamnose, arabinose, xylose, mannose and glucose with the molar percentage of 1.88%, 2.82%,5.00%,21.24%,69.06%. The IR results show that there are pyran and furan ring exist in Flammalina velutipes exo-polysaccharide and intropolysaccharide. Based on the experiment, studied the growth of Flammulina velutipes mycelium in different concentrations of monosodium glutamate wastewater contains such as glucose, urea, glutamic acid, ammonium acetate, ammonium. Determined the optimum concentration after studying. When the glucose concentration was 30g/L, the mycelial got the best growth. At this point the mycelial yield is 1.0125 g/100mL, the polysaccharide production is 0.1308 g/100mL. Flammulina velutipes can take advantage of glutamic acid and urea as the sole nitrogen source when growth and development. The best glutamic acid concentration is 3.0g/L. The best urea concentration is 2.5g/L. As with ammonium acetate and ammonium sulfate as a nitrogen source the growth of Flammulina velutipes less. In a medium ammonium sulfate as the sole nitrogen source, the mycelium stops growing. This shows that ammonium acetate and ammonium sulphate are not suitable for the growth of Flammulina velutipes mycelium nitrogen. However, adding he two substances in the basis of Flammulina velutipes culture medium, the mycelium can grow normally. To prove that the existence of these two substances does not affect the normal development of hyphae.Based on the above experiment, use of the different concentrations of monosodium glutamate wastewater on Flammulina velutipes. The results showed that when the medium concentration of monosodium glutamate wastewater by 40% to 60%, the Flammulina velutipes mycelium can grow normally, too high or too low concentration of mycelium is not conducive to the growth of mycelium. By measuring the COD values before and after fermentation, found that Flammulina velutipes has good effects on dealing with the monosodium glutamate wastewater. When the wastewater concentration of 60% in the medium, the COD removal is up to 82.6%. It shows that mushroom cultivation using monosodium glutamate wastewater the use of monosodium glutamate wastewater is feasible.
