In this paper,non-ethylene-sensitivity flower,(Gerbera jamesonii Bolus) orange-red were held respectively in different solutions,which included preservatives containing antibiotics,and water was taken as control.Effects of such solutions on senescence of cut gerbera flower were systematically studied.In the observation based on the vase life, effects of factors on senescence of cut gerbera flower were investigated by means of measuring water balance,change rate of fresh weight and others.The main results in this experiment were shown as follows,1.Screening concentration of antibiotics which can delay senescence of cut Gerbera flower.Different categories and different concentrations of antibiotics had effect on vase life of cut gerbera flower.Different categories and concentrations of antibiotics (penicillin,streptomycin,tetracycline) were added on base of sugar which is Basic Preservation ingredients in this experiment.9 kinds of treatments were set in this experiment.Treatment 1 to treatment 9 were respectively as 2%S+10mg·L-1 penicillin; 2%S+30mg·L-1 penicillin;2%S+50mg·L-1 penicillin;2%S+10mg·L-1 streptomycin; 2%S+30mg·L-1 streptomycin;2%S+50mg·L-1 streptomycin;2%S+10mg·L-1 tetracycline; 2%S+30mg·L-1 tetracycline;2%S+50mg·L-1 tetracycline,distilled water and sucrose were set as the control.The experiment showed that preservative containing streptomycin and tetracycline could prolong the vase life of cut gerbera flower,Among them, Preservatives(2%S+30mg·L-1 streptomycin) and(2%S+30mg·L-1 tetracycline) were the best treatments,which prolonged respectively 4.3 days and 3.6 days,and improved fresh weight and water balance of cut gerbera flower.We plan to improve two better treatments on preservation in-depth study and study the mechanism of delayed senescence of cut gerbera flower.2.Effects of preservatives containing streptomycin and tetracycline on cut gerbera flower.Two kinds of treatments were set in this experiment,Two treatments were respectively as(2%S+30mg·L-1 streptomycin) and(2%S+30mg·L-1 tetracycline).The experiment showed that,Preservatives which joined 30mg·L-1 streptomycin or 30mg·L-1 tetracycline to basic preservative(2%S) could effectively enlarge fresh weight and improve water balance of cut gerbera flower,increase activities of SOD,CAT and POD, delay the increase of cell membrane permeability and prolong the vase life to some extent.
