The Construction And Practice Of "3s Centered" Teaching Model In Advanced Professional Institution

Content:Based on the learning and teaching theory of constructionlism and humanism and connecting with the teaching reality of professional technical institution in Liaoning Shihua University the essay put forward "3S centered" teaching model using questionnaire and interview. The author demonstrated from theory and studied from practice."3S centered" teaching model refers to a kind of new class teaching model in higher professional education which is based on Society-centered,Student-centered and Subject-centered. Because the three "centers"are all begins with the letter"S" we call them "3S centered". According to the character of the higher professinal English education and the social first line work's requirements for English skills the model is created from the teaching practice within a long time and it adopted all kinds of advantages in various teaching methods.First, the essay raised the theme's significances in theory and practice and defined the the important concepts.And then briefly reviewed the influencial English teaching model in China and abroad. Secondly, survey the current teaching conditions in advanced professional English using questionnaire and interview and analysis the causes of the problems.After stating the theoretical basis of the model the essay discusses the structure of the model and the relations of each parts. At last, through a reading class teaching the artical illustrates the application of the model and the problems we should pay attention to.It has proved that the model emphsizes the development of students. The goal of it is to develope the students' ability of profession and the constant developing in whole life. The model was acceptable by the students and has achieved good teaching effects. That indicates it is a new teaching model fitting for Chinese situation.
