As one of the most effective writing teaching method, Process Approach will be applied into this lesson plan and its operability and effectiveness is going to be verified through practical teaching.Firstly the background that Process Approach emerged from is to be introduced as well as its applied research in TCSL. From this paper, an analysis is made for this approach according to the features, theoretical foundations and limitations, and also the"three stages with eight steps"division method is concluded upon the former opinions.Lesson Plan of PICTURE WRITING is designed with this division method according to Process Approach, and the reasons are given in detailed as well.This Lesson Plan is applied to teaching overseas students from two classes of School of Chinese as a Second Language in SYSU. Students'opinions about this experimental classes and writing will be collected by questionnaire survey. Finally, a summary and suggestions for improvement towards problems that emerged from practice will be made.
