America's Asia-Pacific Security Strategy is its Global Strategy and overall diplomacy, an important part of security strategy. Since both from geopolitical, economy and safety, America has important strategic interests in the Asia-Pacific Region. So The United States has maintained an active involvement and played a leading role in the region since World War II. The United States formed Asia-Pacific security strategy within the framework of global strategy after the Second World War and the Korean War, through bilateral alliance system, this Strategy maintains a strong military presence and implementation of the frontiers of active military intervention to stop Communism in Asian and global expansion. With the collapse of the Soviet union and the Cold war ended on a global scale, which changed t the strategy pattern and the Asia-Pacific security environment , this means that the United States must assess the security situation in the Asia-Pacific region, redefine the U.S. strategic interests in the region, and form a new Asia-Pacific Security Strategy.The end of the Cold War made America's global security environment and the Asia-Pacific security environment has historic changes. The United States had lost the challenge of strategic rivals at that time, and also won the dream of strategic depth. For the Asia-Pacific security situation, the major significance lies in the disappearance of the two pattern of Internation factor strategy against, on one hand it makes the ice of the Cold War start to melt in the Asia-Pacific region, on the other hand it makes the Asia-Pacific security environment more complex and instability. Since the mid 1990s, from nuclear crisis upgrade the North Korean, the Taiwan Strait crisis rise to regional nationalism, separatism and propensity of terrorist groups,which made the security environment of the Asia-Pacific region in the Asia-Pacific region more serious. Due to the rise of China, among the great powers of mutual suspicions, competeing expand arms, makes the serious Asia-Pacific security situation to more complex situation. It is based on the change of the Asia-Pacific security situation, from Bush Administration, the Clinton Administration to the Bush administration, The United States adjusted to the Asia-Pacific region safety strategy step by step , and formed a new America Asia-Pacific Security Strategy in the Post-Cold war era.The content mainly includes four parts . The first part mainly analysizes the influence factors of American asia-pacific security strategy. The second part mainly discusses that the Bush Administration adjusted America's Asia-Pacific Security Strategy at the end of the cold war according to the international situation and the Asia-Pacific security environment changes after the cold war.The third part mainly describes the adjustment of American Asia-Pacific security strategy in Colinton administration. The fourth part mainly discusses in the beginning of new century, facing the changes of Asia-Pacific security situation and the rise of China, as well as the September 11th incident, the republican President Bush Government caused U.S.to adjust its global military security strategy, especially to change overall arrangement of the Asia-pacific security strategy.The content expectly concludes the true changes and the connotation of U.S. Asia-Pacific Security Strategy from the above four parts.Review the development track of American Asia-Pacific security strategy after the Cold War ,whether from the theoretical level, or from the essence of strategy and connotation, in different periods of the Asia-Pacific security strategy that basically accords with the connotation of international relations theory framework of this claim. From the international relations theory formation we make a thorough inquiry about American Asia-Pacific security strategy after the Cold War, Early 1990s from the old Bush Administration to Clinton Administration was a transition from realism to liberalism. At the end of the 20th century ,Bill Clinton and Bush Administration of the century replace, it was again the liberalism color returned to the orbit of realism, more and more conservative. If the actual connotation, it was from the"cooperative deterrence" strategy of the Bush Administration to the Clinton Administration's "preventive defense" strategy, to the Bush administration's "regional security" and "containment and deterrence" and "preemptive strategy". But the specific changes showed from defensive strategy to offensive strategic posture trend, the international to both inside and outside, and strategic transformation of multilateral to unilateralism strategic shift,which illustrate the complex of the international relations development and the never cease of change.This text combines the historical facts with theory, having the Asia-Pacific security strategy changing as a background, taking the American Asia-Pacific security strategy of development track after the Cold War as a clue, expounds America's Asia-Pacific security strategy of Bush Administration, Clinton Administration and the Bush Administration, and analyzes some serious issues thoroughly and comprehensivly, such as the adjustment of the US-Japan alliance, the adjustment of U.S. military deployment, the structure of multilateral security mechanism, U.S. policy toward China, the influence factors of American Asia-Pacific security strategy and so on.The United States is the world's only superpower, the trend of the Natioal Security Strategy makes a difference to the world's peace and stability, and the changes and trend of Asia-Pacific security strategy also influence the strategy pattern ,security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.This paper attempts to take roots in and development itself on the basis of the research fruits that were acquired by former researchers ,expounds preferably the Asia-Pacific security policy evolutive track after the Cold War, which help us undstand the basic ideas of the U.S. government regional security strategy adjustment and promote the intrinsic motivation of American Asia-Pacific security adjustment.
