As the rapid development of social, economic, political, cultural, technology and other aspects, social competition is more and more intense. Especially in 2008, financial tsunami is global spread because of the American supreme mortgage crisis which makes the stress on people bigger and bigger. It becomes a generalized trend. As an important part of social groups, university students would inevitably feel the stress. Because of their physical and mental development has not yet fully matured, their self-regulations and self-controls are not strong too.When faces a series of major life issues, they would be easy to fall into the whirlpool of stress and couldn't extricate themselves. What's more, some of students might be psychological disorder or even to get the mental illness. Thus could lead to the extreme behaviors. In October 2004, the CPC Central Committee proposes to develop an effective way to expand university students'ideological and political education.It concerns to their mental health education. We can see the mental health issues, particularly the problem of stress doesn't only affect the harmonious development of body and mind to the students, but also directly affects the construction of harmonious society. Therefore, to explore the stress problem of the students and broaden the effective ways of stress management is the responsibility for the ideological and political education workers who can't shirk it.The topic of "students'stress" is a hot topic in the field of psychology. Many psychology books and materials have maken deeply research on it. They get solid theoretical foundation and research achievement. This paper is in the perspective of ideological and political education and learns from psychology, sociology, social psychology and other related disciplines'theoretical results. We use document analysis, interview method, and questionnaire method and also combine empirical research and theoretical research to analyze the status and the reasons of university students'stress from the basic concept of the stress and the related research on it with the first-hand information of questionnaire method.The purpose of this paper is to explore the way to resolve the stress and broaden the stress management in the perspective of ideological and political education. Specific three parts of this paper are as followed.The first part systemically introduces the basic concepts of stress and stressors, the types, features and double effects of university students'stress.The second part analyzes the status of university students'stress and the reasons.The third part makes the key point under the ideological and political education. First of all, define the concept of university students'stress management. And then proposes the ideas should be innovative to expand the channel of stress management education:exerting the advantages of classroom teaching, constructing the harmonious spiritual home; strengthening construction of ideological and political educational contingent and establishing a healthy communication mechanism between teacher and student; improving mental health education and psychological consultation to dredge and resolving the stress of university students in time; strengthening the construction of the campus culture to bring decompression function of it into full play. Thirdly, proposing the targeted to improve the content of stress management:guidance of learning concepts and training of ability; emotional guidance and education; construction of social support system and communication training; pre-employment guidance and training; financial favor and group counseling for poor students; training and education of self-extracting capability.
