The health problem has been a common topic, especially, how to have a healthy education has been an important matter. At present, the ignoance caused the backward of the concept and negative impacts.It is researched that health education has been an emergent and important matter.While the connection between health education and teaching is a realistic good policy.One of the concepts of the New Curriculum Reform is "Health is the first" in order to improve the students health, which is rooted in the essence of the health education.The physical education and health curriculum education has become the most important content in the health education of school.The north part of jiangsu province locates in the north area of Changjiang reviver, and belongs to the developing areas in Jiangsu province.However in the long perieod, the health education has not been paid a lot of attention in the practice of physical education. So how is the status of the combination of the health education with physical education going in this specail area?and the how to push the combination of the P. E teaching and health education in New Curriculum Reform have become a important issueThis research investigated some P. E teachers in 20 senior middle schools of the northern part in Jiangsu Province, (four-star chool, three-star school, two-star school) guided by the New Curriculum Reform, basing on some related literature about the current domestic and overseas situation, with the way of literature, interview, investigation, and drew a conclusion:1)generally speaking, the resource and equipment is not in balance, the teacher's diploma and qualification has been a big problem for the reform.2)The teachers in the northern part of Jiangsu Province,most of them have some positive understanding about the New Curriculum, but have no enough learning about the significance and key concepts of it, which make their ideas not fit for the development of new curriculum reform3)In the P. E teaching practice, the choice of content and goal are still infulenced by the traditional one.4) they could not do better in the realization of the new idea for the choice of the teaching methods in the New Curriculum Reform.5)The evaluation system is not as good as the New Curriculum Reform requires.6)Most of the teachers has achieved from the reform through thinking about themselves.7)The school administration is not strict, and they don't pay attention to the P. E teaching. Meanwhile, in the reform, the creation is not enough. Therefore, in order to achieve it a lot of works need to do.To these problems, in order to carry out the New Curriculum Reform in the Northern part of Jiangsu Province, improve the connection between the P. E teaching and health education, suggestions are given1) provide more training to the related teachers;2) vary the teaching methods3) improve the understanding of the teaching goal and content;4) the promotion of the teaching skills, sports items;5) pay more attention to the students;6) strengthen the use and exploitation of the resourses on P.E and Health Education.
