Since the Ministry of Education of China's approval in 1998, Tsinghua University,Zhejiang University,Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Hunan University began the experimental attempt in the field of the Remote Network Education. The Remote Network Education has been playing a more and more important role in the construction of lifelong education system and a Learning Society and the implementation of the strategy of rejuvenating China through science and education.With China's entry into the WTO and under the wave of educational and economic globalization, developed countries, one after anther, are racing to control the market of Network Education in China. As a result, the Remote Network Education in Higher Education Institutions in China is in face of severe challenge. How to enhance its Competitive Strength and keep its vitality to provide better service for our countrymen and society, the best answer to the Remote Network Education in Higher Education Institutions in China is to stick to the way of industrialization. The reasons are:first, this will be beneficial to the system reform of higher education institutions in China and the rational flow of social resource. What's more,this will also be favorable to the readjustment of economic structure in China and its economic development. Last, this will be in favor of the relief of the shortage of education resource as well as the enhancement of the quality of the entire population.As far as the Industrialization of the Remote Network Education in Higher Education Institutions in China is concerned, it has not been nailed down theoretically and legally. However, practice always goes quicker than theory. This paper applies the theory of human capital and theory of common property and the theory of interact distance to study on the Industrialization of the Remote Network Education in Higher Education Institutions in China. Firstly, it analyzes the necessity and its industrial functions and its impact on economic growth. Secondly, based on the study on the cases of the Industrialization of the Remote Network Education in Higher Education Institutions abroad and present situation in China, this paper points out relevant issues. Lastly, it offers countermeasures and suggestions to those issues.
