The primary education in rural area is the elementary education to school-aged children , which brings comprehensive influence to children's physicality and mentality.At the present stage,it shoulders the foundamental responsibility for the socialist construction through educating the new generational constructor and the successor.The satisfaction of primary-school teacher in countryside plays an important roles in the educational quality.This thesis relies on the samples,partially taken from countryside schools in Wuhan City,and the methods are the questionnaires,interviews and observation.Analysis is carried out on school leaders,working environment,welfare & benefit,working relationship,work itself,self-realization,the performance of students,parental and social support,promotion, etc, in the primary education of rural area.The study finally reveals that:Working relationship, school leader and the student performance are most satisfied of teachers in primary schools of rural area. Their working environment,holistic aspect,work itself,promotion are accepted. Self-realization , parental and social support, welfare & benefit are comparatively denied by these school teachers.Different background brings about different influence on gender, age, educational level, length of service, technical post, income, grade teaching.The male teachers'job satisfaction is higher than the female teachers', especially in working environment and welfare & benefit. The distinct in self-presentation between ages is remarkable, in holistic aspect is extremely remarkable. Teachers with higher educational level get the lower satisfaction of holistic aspect, the distinct is remarkable. The job satisfaction of teachers with length of service varies with U-shaped tendency in school leader,welfare & benefit, work itself,promotion ,holistic aspect,the distinct in holistic aspect is extremely remarkable. Teachers with higher technical post varies with U-shaped tendency in working environment,school leader,welfare & benefit,colleague relationship and self- presentation factors,the distinct in welfare & benefit is extremely remarkable. The job satisfaction of teachers with higher income varies with opposite U-shaped chart in school leader, with U-shaped chart in welfare & benefit, the distinct is extremely remarkable. The job satisfaction of teachers whose income is higher offers more parental and social support. The distinct is extremely remarkable. There is no remarkable difference in the grade of teachers who teach.Analysis of answers to the open question in questionnaires brings out the key points:firstly,the teaching condition and facility in the primary school of rural area is not good;secondly,the teachers'welfare & benefit is badly;thirdly, professional training and teaching ability are shortage.Consequently,this thesis seeks for the reasons on the lower satisfaction of primary school teacher in rural area,then put forward the countermeasures and proposals to promote primary school teacher's job satisfaction. Firstly,improvement of economic status and social status of teachers is necessary in our society;Secondly, it is necessary of school to meet the teacher's demand for self-realization,to standardize the management,to mix together the institutional constraints and the integration of humanistic concern, to implement the expansible teacher evaluation; Thirdly, for teachers themselves,they should firm their belief,aware of their own value, learn to enjoy their work, and establish the concept of lifelong learning.
