Research On Job Satisfaction Of Rural Primary School Teacher

Teacher job satisfaction is a kind of emotion experience and attitude aboutwhether the teacher is satisfied with every aspect of their jobs. It is of greatimportance to research on rural teacher job satisfaction in order to arouse their workenthusiasm, stabilize teachers, improve school management and ensure sustainabledevelopment of rural education.Based on the existing references, the researcher design a questionnaire of ruralprimary school teacher job satisfaction in this study. By stratified random samplingmethod,300people were selected from8counties in Heze city. This thesis makes atough inquire into the current situation and problems of rural primary school teacherjob satisfaction by analysis valid data.The study shows that the general level of rural primary school teacher jobsatisfaction is low. There are eight main factors related to rural primary school teacherjob satisfaction. Colleague relationships gain the highest level of satisfaction,followed by leadership, assessment and promotion, working itself, working pressure,working environment, self-development and working wages. Teacher shows differentlevel job satisfaction according to their gender, age, education background,professional title and teaching ages.Based on the results of this study, this thesis make some suggestions towards thegovernment, the leader of rural primary school and the teacher of rural primary school.This thesis suggest that the government should increase the education investment inrural and improve rural teachers’ working wages. Rural primary schools should makegreat effort to raise the standard of school management and establish a rational systemof teacher evaluation. Teacher should strengthen their self-development.
