Shaanxi Province Of Energy Consumption And The Composition And Economic Growth Of The Gray Relational Analysis

As one of the resources of social and economic development, energy plays an important and supportive role in the development. However, with the development of economy, there comes lack of energy supply in recent years. Therefore,there lies great significance in well tackling the relation between energy consumption and economic growth and also in planning a resonable energy development for the sustainable development of economy.On the basis of the theory on energy consumption and economic growth, with the time-sequenced figures between total energy consumption(including coal, petroleum, gas, water and electricity) and economic growth from the year 2001 to 2009 and by gray correlation analysis of the relation between the energy consumption and its inscape and economic growth, this essay analyzes and studies the inscape of energy consumption and the current situation of economic growth of Shannxi province and also the main problems lying in the energy consumption of the province. And in the end, this essay also foresees the future ten-year energy consumption and its inscape of Shannxi province by employing the GM(1,1) model.The study indicates as follows:The high relation between total energy consumption and economic growth of Shannxi province lies in that energy consumption greatly influnces the growth of economy. Specifically, the economic growth of Shannxi province relis the most upon coal and then more upon gas, petroleum and water and electricity with less obvisous influence, which further indicates that Shannxi provnice still undergoes an extensive economy without genuine changes in the manner of economic growth and that the energy consumption still goes up in the future ten years.Finally, the essay presents proposals as follows accordingly:first, transform the manner of economic growth; secondly, optimize the inscape of energy consumption and turn into depurative model. Thirdly, the government take measures to stimulate people to paticipate in energy saving. Fourthly, develop sustainable energy.
