Development Evaluation Of The Basic State Of The Western Region Of Urban And Rural Economic And Social Integration

Urban and rural areas are the most basic units of the regional development, the interaction between which promote the social progress and prosperity. China has been on the stage of rapid urbanization for the latest 20 years and is on the key phase of social and economic changes between urban and rural area. But at the same time, a typical "dual structure" has not been thoroughly changed in the history of rural-urban relationship. In order to achieve the purpose of urban-rural integration, we have to coordinate the relationship of urban-rural.Based on the related theories of urban-rural coordinated development, urban-rural integration, and urban-rural harmonious development and so on, evaluation index system of county urban- rural correlated development is constructed in the article by qualitative and quantitative methods, and then the urban-rural correlated development trend of the West of China is analyzed and evaluated overall. What's more, the urban-rural economic and social integration of the West of China is compared indifferent districts and different time, according to which strategies and recommendations about promoting the county urban-rural correlated development is proposed. The main conclusions are as follows:1. In the west, urban and rural economic and social integration, showing a typical "center-periphery" model. From the point of cities, high-level areas are mainly urban centers in the provinces. Areas with low levels are mainly in the southern part of Gansu Province, south of Xinjiang, south of Qinghai Province, west of Yunnan Province and south of Guizhou Province. Point of view from the provincial level, the High level of development provinces are Inner Mongolia provinces, Chongqing, Sichuan provinces, Shaanxi provinces, and Yunnan provinces, Guizhou provinces, Gansu provinces, Ningxia provinces and Qinghai provinces are in the lower level of urban-rural economic and social integration.2. The urban-rural economic and social integration of the West of China is divided into four stages, respectively are:the dual stage of development, the preliminary integration phase, the moderate integration phase, and the highly integrated stage. At present, there are 33 cities in the dual stage of development,34 cities in the urban-rural preliminary integration phase,31 cities in the moderate integration development stage, and 19cities in the high integration phase.
