U.s. Export Control Laws And The Impact Of The Sino-us Economic And Trade Laws

Along with global economic integration, the strict US export control policies to China have seriously impeded Chinese hi-tech development and participation to the global economy. The thesis focused on influences caused to both US& China and trying to find a solution. The thesis first introduces the history, development, contents and implementation of the laws and regulations of US Export Control System, which gives all a general understanding of US Export Control System. The focal point of this thesis comes to be introduction of history and status quo of US export control policies to China. Through analysis of influences caused to both US & China's economy by US export control policies to China, the thesis points out that these policies not only limit China's technology import and development, but also cause very bad influence to its own economy and business and hinder the cooperation and development of US-Sino relations. Based on the conclusion above, the thesis further points out that the US Export Control System has already fell short of the international environment and the requirements of US-Sino cooperation. It is the time for US government to change the system in order to keeping its competitive power in China market. At the end of the thesis is China's countermeasures and strategy towards US Export Control Policies to China. It says that China's growing shall not depend on US to initiatively release their policies, but more focus on getting the developed products and technology from other channels and initiatively pushing US to release the policies. It further says China's future shall more depend on its own developing which is the final and best way for China's growing.
