This essay is divided into five parts.The first part is the Introduction which explains significance of this research, literature review and the contents of this paper, researching methods and innovations. The second part is theoretical explanation from Cobb - Douglas production function (CD function). Basing on existing literatures and comparing the different models, this essay finally take the model to describe the Chinese farmers in agricultural production which Li Zhong Kui and Fu Zhong Ning (2006) have usied. The third part is the analysis of differences in the efficiency of agricultural land. combining with the existing literature abroad, the paper summarizes the existing three different empirical models. And combining with conclusions of those three different models, empirical mode of this essay come out. The forth part is empirical study.basing on survey data, we can obtain meaningful conclusions. This fifth part is the conclusions and policy recommendations.With economic development, and consistenting with the existing small-scale farm conditions, there is a question worthing consideration.The development and construction of rural agricultural land depend on land suppuying . With technological advances, small-scale operations may not suit to the economic development. Summarying of the researches abroad, in different countries and regions, at different times, small-scale agricultural land efficiency (compared to large-scale agricultural land), can be high, may be no difference, can be low as well.In rural areas, promotion of mechanization and capital investment gradually replace more and more labour working. The level of urbanization in China which has been accelerate at the same time increases the demand of rural labors. In order to match the needs of rural and urban development, agricultural land reform may be able to play a key role. Raising incomes of rural farmers, while there may not reduce the efficiency of agricultural land.
