After ATC(Agreement on Textiles and Clothing) became partly effective in 2005, It has become a key factor for the development of our national Textile industry This agreement is a two-sided sword. On one side, It brings the dawn of free trade to the export of our textile and garments. On the other hand, It pushed our textile industry to a platform of international free competition .Our textile industry began a new period of development which rely on competitive power.I'd like to expound the international competitive power of our textile industry by three aspects: The first one is the exterior status of competitive power, in order to explain the strength degree of our textile industry's competitive power and quantify this power; The second one is to analyze the internal reason. Through quantitative analysis and investigation in enterprises, to find out the reason of the actuality of our textile industry's competitive power, which included internal and exterior factors also included stimulative and obstructive factors. The third one is to table a proposal aim at the deficiency of development of our textile industry, so as to make our industry can keep durative in sharp competition. In this thesis, based on the theory of comparative advantages and Micheal-Poter's theory of competitive advantages, by analyzing the questions in our textile industry, I draw that our national textile industry own the comparative advantages but lack of conclusion competitive advantages. Finally, I put forwards my proposals in terms of how to change the comparative advantages into competitive advantages and how to improve our textile industry's international competitive power. The main measures are increasing R&D devotion, adjusting the framework of industry and product, realizing the multi-industry and setting up industry clusters.
