With the quickening of economic globalization and intensification of market competition, it is increasingly important to motivate the initiative of employees and give them full play the function of human resources. As an important element in human resources management, performance management has gradually taken become the top priority in human resources management and enterprise management. An organization which puts emphasis on human resources development and performance management will have unceasingly new blood to flow in and will generate new profit. Therefore, to some extent, whether rational performance management system can be formulated and implemented is a key element relevant to the prospect and fate of an organization.Jiuda is the largest and most coordinated well and rock salt making group in China, which produces 25% of the edible salt and 60% of industrial salt in Sichuan Province. Taking Jiuda Group Corporation as the subject to investigate and in combination with the industry characteristics, strategy goal and current management situation, this paper designs and discusses the performance management system in the corporation.The paper is composed of four chapters. In the first chapter, brief introduction, organizations and human resources are introduced and analysis and appraisal is conducted on the current performance management. Necessity of designing performance management system is put forward. In the second chapter, management and its relevant theories are elaborated, including performance, performance assessment, meaning of performance management as well as circulation system of performance management and its flow. The third chapter is about the design of performance management system in Jiuda Group, in which design ideas and preparation is elaborated. The fourth chapter is about the implementation effect of and appraisal on performance management system in Jiuda Group, including implementation effect, problems existing in the implantation and experience.
