China's Foreign Direct Investment In Industry To Select

Under the background of economic globalization and global industrial structure adjustment, the new multinational investment tide is spring up, which is the important performance and driver of economic globalization. Faced with the fierce international competition, all countries have to develop actively foreign direct investment (FDI) and build international production system. Only in this way, can they adjust economic structure effectively in domestic, and occupy a beneficial position in the future international form. So does China.Through more than 30 years of reformation and opening, the Chinese national economy have developed greatly, gaining great achievement. Recently some new varieties and antinomy in economic life have appeared, indicating the way of economy growth and structure are changing deeply. Faced with the new situation of economic globalization and international investment, we have to use the global view to adjust the industrial structure and choose the strategic step, according to the international industry division. So we must participate international industry division and competition actively and broadly.In recent years, the Chinese internationalization level has rised greatly. The FDI has developed quickly and fruitfully, especially in the resources developing, the manufacturing industry, and service industry. Meanwhile the high-tech and modern service industry have developed slowly. So the FDI of China is still in an entry-level with low quality and structure. In order to raise the level of FDI, we need to adjust the structure of FDI, stabilize the labor-intensive and the traditional industry investment and develop high-tech industry actively to set up the FDI system of advantage type and study type developing together.This paper analyzes both inside and outside environments of FDI under economic globalization background. After the probing in theories of industry choice, it brings the analysis on characteristics and status of FDI of China, furthermore it points out the strategy of industry choice. The last but not the least, the author lodges the counter-measures and suggestions of the way to globalization.
