The Employment Effects Of The Evolution Of Industrial Structure

Employment has a vital bearing on the people's livelihood, and it is the source of the people rich. Continuing to create more job opportunities is the objective result of the economics development as well as the internal need of the harmony society. At present, from the objective perspective, not only Shaanxi province but also the whole China is confronted with the severe employment issue. In the long term, economic growth is the fundamental way to solve the employment issue. The traditional economics theory indicates that a certain proportional relation exists between employment growth rate and economic growth rate, namely, high increase rate will bring high employment rate while low increase rate will cause the opposite. However, the fact of economic growth in Shaanxi province didn't keep well to the principle above. Since the time of reform and opening up, especially since 1990s, the fast growing of the economics in Shaanxi province hasn't correspondingly brought a rapid employment expansion, on the contrary, the positive effect of the economic growth to the employment was continuously decreasing. Therefore, the traditional method to solve the employment problem is confronted more and more new challenges because it only depends on the effect of the total economics growth. In order to find out the reason of the continually weakening effect of the employment from the economics growth, this thesis goes deeply into the essence of the economics growth. It starts with the evolvement of industrial structure and attempts to reveal the influence of employment, via researching the industrial structure and the corresponding relations between the industrial structures. Moreover, it moves forward to discus how to make full use of the positive influence, thereby seeks a way out of the current employment issue. In the content aspect, this thesis bases on plentiful and substantive statistical data and facts, using the combined methods of positive and normative analysis systemically analyzes the influence of the industrial structure changes to the employment increasing in Shaanxi province. Firstly, this paper uses regression analysis method to analyze the general relation between the economics development and employment growth. Secondly, it researches the effect of the industrial structure changes to employment growth from the perspective of the deviation between industrial and employment structure and also from the employment increment of three industries, and compares them in the horizontal direction. Based on the above analyses, this paper further analyzes the reason of employment effect of Shaanxi three industries from the aspect of manufacture technology and the development of practical industrial. Lastly, according to the certain evaluation standard, this thesis presents a series of proposals about the employment growth from the perspective of industrial structure adjustment and development.
