Yamaguchi Mangrove National Nature Reserve Community Awareness On Eco-tourism Development

The eco-tourism development of Mangroves natural reserves plays an important role in strengthening the protection of resource and environment, coordinating relationships between natural reserves and local residents, improving the construction of local infrastructure, and promoting the development of local economy. However, present researches on Mangroves natural reserves focus more on the protection and utilization of the resources, and there are only a few on researches on the investigation and trend analysis of current tourism. Up to now, there is no systematic summary on related topic or research in depth on tourism development.The local residents' life has a very close relationship with Guangxi Shankou National Mangroves Natural Reserves. In regard of this, the author has done a lot of investigation from the angle of local residents' perception by handing out questionnaire and interviewing local residents. Then, with the help of statistics software, the author analyzes and summarizes some important factors of Shankou local residents related to its tourism development, namely, the features of the community, tourism development will of the local residents, perception of exterior factors in tourism development, perception of the impact of tourism development, perception of tourists, etc. Based on the theories of social exchange, of stakeholders and of sustainable development, this paper analyses the current problems existing in the tourism development of Shankou Mangroves Natural Reserve, and puts forward some suggestions on the coordinated development of the Mangroves Natural Reserves with local residents. By adjusting the local residents to the centre of stakeholders, the local residents are suggested to participate in the tourism development of Guangxi Shankou National Mangroves Natural Reserves in various aspects, such as training, planning, construction, management, and evaluation, so as to improve the protection and development of Shankou Mangroves Natural Reserves by eco-tourism development. At the same time, problems result from tourism development can also be solved, so as to promote the sustainable development of Guangxi Shankou National Mangroves Natural Reserves.
