The study of job satisfaction is very helpful to found harmonious in work in a state Taxation Bureau of a Province. From the visual angle of public human resource management, this text combines public management, management psychology, organizational behavior theory to research in job satisfactory problems of common civil servants. Use such methods as the analysis of documents, open questionnaire investigation, exploratory factor analysis etc. The job satisfaction questionnaire of this Province in three dimensionalities and five factors composed of 50 indexs. In the prepared research, the preceding research and the formal research, 200 civil servants from this bureau are random sampled. In addition, with the means of some statistic methods such as t-test, One-way ANOVA , we discuss how each dimensionality and the demographic variables influence the job satisfaction .The result of positive research shows:1,Concerning total level or each dimensionality, civil servants of this Province express their job satisfaction at a medium level.2,Hygiene is more satisfied than Motivation. The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis are ranked as follows: relationship, pleasure in work, condition in work, result in work, management and leadership.3,The results of multiple stepwise regression analysis show that there is no difference. Ordinary civil servants are significantly more satisfied than senior civil servants.4,The previous findings authenticate Two-Factors Theory : only Motivation can result in job satisfactory.5,The absence of Motivators is the most important reason why job satisfaction of civil servants of Local Taxation Bureau of Hunan Province have not reached high level.Finally, based on the findings of this study combined with relevant theories of job satisfaction some pieces of advice are presented for the reference of the departments of policy-making and human resources in our government.
