Benchmarking has been the one of three major management methods since 90' s of the 20th Century. As a kind of systemic, scientific andeffective method and tool for management improvement, it not only can mprove the product quality and the service level of an enterprise but also can enhance the core competence and the competitive advantages .At last it results to a perfect working performance. Now the research and application of Benchmarking is very widely used abroad. Many famous corporations make it as a routine management tool. It is used in the daily management and gains great effects, but Benchmarking is on the horizon in China. Its principle idea is to help enterprises to seek, follow up, learn and exceed the benchmark enterprise rapidly by regular and continuous comparasion. With the advance of the market economic reform , the circumstances of the chemical enterprises have been greatly changed. X corporation is responsible for developing, investing and managing the process of produce. It is also the proving groud for optimizing the internal management , improving the economic and social benefit as increasing X corporation' s competitive capacity.This paper begins with the basic principles and the study background of the Benchmarking, analyzes the problems of the process of produce in X corporation, seeks the benchmark enterprises and certains the benchmark items according to the problem that X corporation exists, then discusses the concrete operation of Benchmarking. At last, it analyzes the results of Benchmarking and gets conclusion.In the first chapter of this paper , it begins with the research background and meaning of Benchmarking.In the second chapter, it introduce the basic principles of Benchmarking and the meaning, type, original and development condition.In the third chapter, it makes detail analysis of the present condition and production process that the X corporation exists.In the fourth, it discusses all of phase action of Benchmarking, finded out the difference between X corporation and the benchmark enterprise and it root cause, develops improvement projects and demonstrates the effects in practice.Lastly, it gets conclusion.It raise the daily management level of the X corporation' s production process, enhances the capability of employee. It carries out a management method what is called "Overall, Every, Control and Clear" and realizes the production method that every work is standard, a workflow and balance. So, it eradicates waste and save production cost completely. It also has done a full preparation for the roboticized production , enhance the core competencies of this corporation.
