A Small High-tech Enterprises Of Technology Innovation Management

With the arrival of the era of knowledge economy, High-tech SMEs are playing an important role in economic development and technological innovation. Compared with developed countries, technological innovation capability of Chinese SMEs, especially in technological innovation management, is still not high. It has become a constraining factor in the business development. So the research on this area is meaningful for theoretical development and business practice.In this paper, JL company is chosen to be the research object. It is a small high-tech company based in Shanghai. The author firstly reviews its technological innovation history. Then he analyzes and evaluates its management actuality of technological innovation. Through the analysis and evaluation, he finds out some problems and their causes. In the end, the author gives some recommendations in order to help the company to improve their technological innovation capability.This paper is divided into 6 chapters: In Chapter 1, the author introduces the background, meaning and methods of his research. In Chapter 2, the author simply introduces the basic theories of technological innovation. According to the characteristics of SMEs, he mainly reviews the latest researches of technological innovation capability evaluation. These researches offer the academic preparation for the later chapters. In Chapter 3, the author runs a demonstrational research about JL Company, he firstly reviews the history of technological innovation and the evolution of innovative model of the company, and then he analyzes the company' s technology innovation system and its innovation process. In Chapter 4, the author constructs the JL technological innovation capability evaluation index system according to the above theories and the characteristics of the JL, and then he evaluates the JL' s technological innovation capability by using benchmarking method and the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. According to the result of the evaluation, in Chapter 5, the author finds out JL' s problems of technological innovation management, deeply analyses the causes of these problems and puts forward some suggestions to enhance the technological innovation capability of the company. Finally, the author summaries the whole paper and gave some prospects in Chapter 6.
