When the world economy is suffering from crisis shock ever from 1929, the competitiveness of the mall and medium-sized enterprises will greatly influence on future China's growth. It would be a great help to improve their competitiveness if we can analyze their present condition and draw out some countermeasures.Rongchuan Foundry Co., Ltd. as a typical small and medium-sized company is working on the casting industry. Staying in the middle of the whole industry, the casting industry is still basic to the whole economy. Its characteristics and development direction are quite identical to that of China's macro-economy. Choosing Rongchuan as a sample to make detailed analysis to her competitiveness would not only let us get full view of the current situation of China's small and medium-sized enterprises, but also help us get an idea on how China's whole industry can enhance the competitiveness.In this article we firstly introduce the background, objective and methods in the first Chapter. Second chapter we go through some of the main theories on competitiveness. From Chapter 3 to Chapter 4, we take an overview on external factors on competitiveness. From Chapter 5 to Chapter 7 international factors are thoroughly studied. Chapter 8 gives a conclusion to the present competitiveness status, while Chapter 9 brings out proposed strategies and implements.
