Shaanxi Province Regional Sustainable Development Capability Evaluation Index System And Empirical Research

Shaanxi has abundant natural resources and fragile ecological environment . For some time now, Shaanxi traditional characteristics of the mode of economic growth are dependent on resource exploitation ,which gives great pressure on resources and environment. From the implementation of "western development" strategy, the society and the economy in Shaanxi Province has experienced a high-speed stage of development. This paper based on the theory of regional sustainable development, and constructs a set of indicators of regional sustainable development system practically, and and makes the data from 1999 to 2007.This paper makes an empirical Study of the Shaanxi Province of sustainable development. First,we detecte the development of Shaanxi Province whether or not in line with the sustainable development; two, we study the general levels of sustainable development, development trends, as well as the resources and the environment, economic and social aspects; three,we search on the coordination of resources and the environment, economic and social development; four, We identify issues and influencing factors for regional development in Shaanxi Province .This empirical Study uses SPSS software and uses Principal component analysis and regression analysis.An Empirical Analysis through the above-mentioned in this article concluded that: First, from 1999 to 2007, Shaanxi Province is in line with the development of sustainable development; two, the general development level of resources and the environment, economic and social are basically in a situation of rising; three,the development of Resources and the environment, economic and social are coordinative;four, sustainable development in Shaanxi Province needs to strengthen resources for environmental protection and construction urgently.
