Economic Efficiency And Sustainable Development In Shaanxi Province

In the three decades of reform and opening up Shaanxi Province has been developing steadily. and during the twenty-first century, in the context of China’s rapid economic development, based on the province’s strengths and endowments, Shaanxi Province gives full play to their advantages, complys with the national economic growth trend,all this is because founding the role and position for their own development in the inter-provincial division of labor. Although there are still large gaps in the aggregate quantity, compared with other provinces in the country, especially compared to the eastern provinces, but during nearly a decade of development, economic growth of Shaanxi Province is in the upper reaches of the country; and compared with other western provinces, Shaanxi Province-both the total economy and growth-are in a leading position. Meanwhile, the development produce a fat price, this mode of development of overdrafting environmental resources is not efficient, and have a certain negative impact on the province’s sustainable development. Thus, the increasing of the city’s GDP can not fully measure the efficiency and sustainability of economic development, this paper considers it necessary to study the economic efficiency and sustainable development of Shaanxi Province.In this article,we firstly analyze the status of sustainable development of Shaanxi Province, and give a qualitative description of the achievements in the development process and emerging issues about Shaanxi Province, and combined with the actual situation of the sustainable development of Shaanxi Province to analysis. Then we introduce the principles and model of Data Envelopment Analysis method. Finally, use the Data Envelopment Analysis method to research economic efficiency and sustainable development of cities in Shaanxi Province. by dividing the situation of different regions, economic efficiency obtained Shaanxi provinces and the difference between the area of sustainable development is researched; also with the division of the industrial structure, we research the efficiency and sustainable development to examine the different forms of urban development and sustainable development situation. Finally, we provide policy recommendations for the sustainable development of Shaanxi Province. according to the analysis above.
