In generally, the concept of job performance is that the result or performance achieved in the organizational work under specific time and condition. But what is the performance? It's achievement or result as is named. But it has much more extensive meaning in practice .Mainly it contains job achievement, working attitude and working abilities.Usually the application of performance management is regared as the integration process but just as one of the Human Resource fuctions. Because of its personal management category which is beyond tradition category, it has been an important tool for the enterprise to achieve strategy management. The personal management contains three important aspects of performance, which are the staff, department and the enterprise organization. It achieves the integration of the development of the above three aspects.Performance management is a systematic management activity process for establishing the consensus of how to accomplish the target for organization and individual, and then implementing effective staff management method, promote the possibility of accomplishing the target. On staff, it strengthens the understanding of his responsibility and tasks. On department manager, it helps manager and staff to establish good performance partnership. On the enterprise development, it helps to improve the enterprise's performance comprehensively and establish the enterprise's strategic organization of creating value circularly. At present, the domestic home appliance chain enterprises are still in the capital-intensive stage怂It has a natural habit of strategy and investment and generally doesn't pay much attention to the scientific and reasonable organization management. So it has not yet entered the stage of comprehensive performance management. At the same time, the industry's traditional style results that the boss and the core manager neglect to improve the labor cost management level through the rational design of performance and remuneration. In addition, the boss and the core manager neglect the importance of the staff to the enterprise subjectively too much. And the damage of the employee turnover rate to the enterprise's core competitiveness is ignored, too. What's more, they don't have a sufficient awareness of the importance of performance management and staff development.An appliance chain store was taken as the instance. Through a detailed investigation and analysis process and the work of how to conduct performance management for the enterprise, the paper thinks, establishes and optimizes the enterprise's performance management system more comprehensively. The popular performance management tools are adopted in the research in the paper. The importance of optimizing the enterprise's performance management system for promoting the enterprise's overall management ability has been illustrated.Through the process of optimization and perfect of the performance management system, the enterprise could improve the manager's thoughts and traditional management culture formed before. And this would be the direct advantage to the enterprise's long-term development. Once the management thought has been improved, the next comprehensive performance management could be implemented logically, which will necessarily promote the management ability and operation strength of the enterprise. It could also let the lower management personnel and staffs see the hope of enterprise's long-term development. So they will associate the future of themselves'and the enterprise's, which will promote the enterprise cohesion gradually.
