Study Of Technological Innovation In The Western Region

The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy. Science and technology are more and more important in regional economic development. The level of technological innovation capability has become a key factor in international competition. Whether a country or a region's dominates economic development in the world mainly depend on its level of scientific and technological innovation.Since the founding of the PRC, especially since the reform and opening, through the western region and the country's own efforts, the western region with a certain amount of scientific and technological base, has created a technology team, established a number of scientific and technological research and development base, the accumulation of a large number of scientific and technological achievements and some areas already have a strong scientific and technological strength. This gives some support of development of science and technology to the western region. However, due to China from coastal areas to inland gradient push the open policy and economic geographical position and differences between soft and hard infrastructure, the environment and other reasons, the development of national science and technology from the overall situation, there are still significant gaps between the western region of the technological innovation ability and the eastern region. This is not conducive to the realization of the western region's economic development by leaps and bounds. This is not conducive to narrowing the gap between the eastern region and the western region. This is not conducive to building a harmonious socialist society.In order to improve the level of technological innovation of the western region as soon as possible, and promote its rapid economic development, Chinese economists are increasingly concerned about the factors that impeded enhancing the ability of the western region of technological innovation and how to explore improve the corresponding measures of technological innovation of the western region. This is also the starting point of this article.In order to improve the level of technological innovation of the western region, first of all, I research the theory of technological innovation at home and abroad, and give a identification to the concept of technological innovation. At the same time, I also studied the role and status of technological innovation in the regional economy and find the index system to describe the capability of technological innovation of the region.On this basis, I compare the technical innovation of the western region of 12 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities with the technical innovation in some provinces in the eastern region, and find out what and why cause the differences. And then, using high-tech Industrial Development Zone in Xi'an for the cases of the western region shows the need for technological innovation and feasibility. Finally, I try to find some Countermeasures to solve the problem and improve the response of technological innovation.We must strengthen the Government's guiding role and make the enterprises play the main role in technological innovation. And we have to carry on the good effort in the concept of capital, talents, policy, and education efforts in order to truly improve the level of technological innovation, and enhance self-growth capacity, and ultimately achieve the economy by leaps and bounds.
