Supply-base rationalization is one of the important aspect of Supply Chain Management. It is foundation of supplier management and development, and also prerequisite for implementing other complex purchasing strategy. If there are no appropriate number of supplier, it's difficulty to develop partnership with suppliers, and hope improve quick responsiveness, lower-cost operation, reliable service are also difficulty.Supply-base rationalization is process of eliminating suppliers who are not capable of achieving purchasing performance objectives, Supply-base rationalization's goal is get a more competitive qualified suppliers pool. This paper intend to answer two question: the size of its supply base and configuration of its supply base.Most of existing supply-base rationalization articles are using mathematic modeling to get the number of supplier, but too much hypothesis, so it is difficult to apply broadly. Enterprises need a tool which is Easy understand and implement. In this paper, we Develop purchasing Portfolio framework under resell finished product business model to achieve rationalization efficiency. This paper focus on an empirical study in trade industrial market. I think carefully industry's character and use customized version model approach to make S-company's supply base rationalization success. Not only solve S-company existing problem but it also increase more profit.This paper provide a model that can be useful for effectively implementing supply-base rationalization activities in non-production industry market.
