Corporate culture theory came into being in the western corporate circle from the 1970s to the 1980s. Starting from 1950s, Japanese economy has grown fascinatingly and has become a powerful challenge to the western corporate circle. Amazed by the rapid growth of Japanese economy, American rose a fever of research about the comparison of the enterprise management between Japan and America. This brought corporate culture theory into the world. Many Chinese enterprises have realized the importance of a good corporate culture since 1990s and have been developing their own corporate cultures. The development of corporate culture helped employees to better their values, to stimulate their potential, and to make the enterprise have more cohesion. Therefore quite a few enterprises maintained rapid and constant development.Through deep and comprehensive investigation and inquiry into the KL Group, this thesis puts its emphasis on the analysis of the corporate culture situation at present and its contributing factors. Furthermore, it analyzes the strong points and shortcomings of the present group culture from different levels of corporate culture. It also exposes the important role that family culture plays in present corporate culture of the KL Group—a family enterprise. It demonstrates the influence that corporate culture puts on the development of KL Group from the interaction among corporate leadership's thoughts, the system, the organization structure and the developing history of the enterprise, and the change of the environment outside.This thesis analyzes the function of family culture in KL Group by analyzing the influence that family culture as a part of corporate culture exerts on the managing system, the organization structure and the developing strategies of the enterprise. It comes to the conclusion that under the condition that there are still quite a lot of family enterprises in China, enterprises should make good use of family culture and make it an active force in the development of corporate culture without changing their family management. Whether the family culture can be utilized properly or not is an essential factor in deciding whether the family enterprises can develop constantly.According to the basic theory of corporate culture, and aiming at the present situation of KL Group, this thesis proposes the developing ideas of the four divisions of corporate culture: material culture, behavior culture, system culture and spirit culture. It also offers some detailed suggestions and points out some problems which attention should be paid to in the developing of corporate culture to help KL Group to achieve a smooth development of a good corporate culture.
