This paper is an exploring study on the food safety crisis early-warning management of the dairy products industry in China.Food safety is not only related to public health, but also related to a normal development of the national economy, and the stability of society and the government's prestige. In recent years, with the rapid development of China's dairy industry, food safety crisis break out frequently, exposing the vulnerability of food safety regulation, the failure of early-warning mechanism, the failure of the means test, the lack of corporate social responsibility, weak manufacturing quality control and so on. The outbreak of food safety crisis of Sanlu company and the Bright-dairy company, which are listed on the forefront of the domestic dairy industry enterprises, not only devastated Chinese dairy industry, the impact of the image of Chinese food safety, the more severe the consequences of a society are to shake the public's basic confidence in the dairy business. In this context, from the enterprise point of view, how to minimize the risk through perfect and effective early-warning crisis management has become a topic of concern by some scholars at home and abroad. Therefore, based on the typical cases of food safety crisis, as well as outstanding success of early-warning food safety crisis management experience of dairy enterprises at home and abroad, this paper tries to give proposals on four aspects, including strengthening a sense of crisis, establishing an effective crisis early-warning system, improving quality management and cultivating corporate social responsibility for the Chinese dairy industry.
