Yunnan Ethnic Tourism, The Urbanization Process And Cultural Change Research

Located in the southwest border, owing to its unique geographical environment, taken different rule strategy from Central Plains region by successive central government, this objectively led the diversity and uniqueness of Yunnan ethnic culture and made Yunnan ethnic areas become a culture island which was different from the main culture of the Chinese nation.With the emergence of modern tourism, tourists keen to pursue different cultures. Colorful customs become a tourist attraction. Enjoying the beautiful scenery and the customs become the tourism motivation of many people. Yunnan ethnic areas have great temptation to tourists because of their unique cultural resources and their advantage of the natural ecology. Thus they become a tourist destination.Minority nationality tourist destination used to belong to traditional agriculture area. With the development of tourism, such an area is on its way to opening. Industry substitution and economy transformation disturb the peace of this original closed community environment. The balance mechanism was disturbed. And the new one takes the place of the old one. As a result , the uniqueness of traditional culture inevitably to some extends withers or disappears. Changing of culture also influences the development of tourism, further the sustainable development of societyNow the most important is to study the urbanization process of ethnic areas and how to not only promote local people's living standards, but also maintain their own characteristics of cultural resources in ethnic areas and avoid duplication and simplicityThis article is divided into five parts:The introduction of this paper expounds the purpose and significance of this paper, summaries the domestic and foreign literature relating the research topics, defines the relevant concepts, introduces the methods and ideas used in this article.Part Two analyzes the cause of cultural changes. Part Three analyzes the development of minority nationality tourist destination in Yunnan. Part Four discusses the urbanization of minority nationality tourist destination in Yunnan and the cultural changes following it. Part Five is the case studies of cultural changes of the process of the urbanization of national tourism, which analyzes what has changed about the local culture because of the development of tourism and how these changes affect the development of tourism. Part Six is a rethinking of the interaction between the cultural changes and the social comprehensive development in minority nationality tourist destination. And then I put forward my own view.
