In the context of economic globalization and new rural construction,city of Jiangsu Province has entered a phase of accelerated development.Owing to natural endowment, historical basis, regional conditions and policy orientation, there is a clear high and low gradient in southern, middle and northern development of the three regional cities. The proportion of the total urban population in the target population up to 67.7% in south of jiangsu in 2008, which is 17.5% and 24.6% higher than the middle and northern respectively.Urbanization developing differences in urbanization is significantly.This paper is mainly regional differences in urbanization in Jiangsu and its influencing factors,and trying to reveal the role of every impact factor in the process of urbanization in three regions. For this reason, this follows the content of the framework set.Introduction chapter. Questions on the research background and purpose of the significance of the research explain in this article thinking, research methods and system framework.Chapter II Summary of Research and abroad. Carding the perspective and method of urbanization in past. Discussing the regional differences in urbanization and its influencing factors.Chapter III Regional differences in the city of Jiangsu province. Reviewing the process of urbanization in Jiangsu and the defect of single indicator method, using the evaluation index system of the level of urbanization cluster analysis and principal component analysis, calculated the level of urbanization around the city comprehensive ranking.Chapter IV Influencing factors of urbanization in Jiangsu. Combed the mechanism of effect of various factors, analysised the various factors,discussed the role of each factor level in different regions.Chapter V conclusions and suggestions. This paper is relying on a theoretical model and using empirical analysis to demonstrate. The study found that the development of tertiary industry, traffic conditions and opening could promote the development of urbanization. The development of secondary industry, urban-rural income difference and other factors is different in the role of direction and extent. Therefore,jiangsu shuld take development strategies suited to local conditions.
