Mobile Browser, Operators Profit Model Study

The opening of 3G era further proved the rapid development and changes of the mobile internet market, at this stage, the development of mobile internet is very similar to the internet market which started it's era 10 years ago. The growing number of mobile users brought the enormous demand for mobile internet, which means the one who mastered the mobile internet users at this stage, he will occupy the position of core value in the next ten year of huge development for the mobile internet.The market share of smart phone continuously expanding due to the development of the terminal performance, the mobile internet applications started to show the characteristics of diversification, shifted from simple WAP service to multiple services coexist mode, such as mobile client applications, mobile E-mail,online mobile games, mobile search, WAP, mobile e-business, internet browsing and applications. The demand for WAP portal is getting lower while the mobile browser becoming the core tool for the mobile internet users.This thesis introduced three major business model especially the mobile commercial model for current mobile internet on the basis of synthesis of major domestic and overseas mobile browser competition. Analyzed and explored the feasibility of mobile browser with the reference to the performance of these three major business areas. Among which the mobile commercial model,which was analyzed in this thesis, was the target profit model once those WAP sites in mobile internet area aimed. Finally, this paper further analyzed the choice of the profit model for the mobile browser based on the sample of the top one domestic mobile browser company-UCWEB.
