A Business Risk Analysis Of The Air Transport Of Dangerous Goods And Countermeasures

With the rapid development of foreign trade recently, dangerous goods as raw material or production parts of chemical industry are imported and exported with a rapid volume growth. Besides road transportation, dangerous goods are carried by multimodal transportation due to the need of the traffic volume and timeliness. Air transportation became an important form of dangerous transportation because of the speediness and the large coverage area.To cope with both risk and higher economic benefit of dangerous goods transportation, the air transportation company should develop a management method to make sure the dangerous goods carried safely and improve service quality. It's a common interest to both the chemical manufacturer and the airlines. The thesis made risk identification and analysis according to the case study of company A, developed a management method through finding the key point to control and working out the solvent, thus helping the manager with decision-making.Based on the analysis of transportation condition of dangerous goods at home and abroad, and also the related research of dangerous air transportation, the thesis introduced the concept of risk analysis and did status survey of the company being studied. Two kinds of methods (HACCP and multi-level Grey Evaluation method) of analysis are taken to discover the risk potential and objective of dangerous air transportation of company A. In accordance with the result of an example chemical good in the actual operation flow being controlled, it verifies the validity of risk analysis and control method described in the previous chapter in the thesis.Last but not least, it comes to the part of description of insufficient and prospect, the thesis comes to that the study of risk analysis and control method can go further through out the whole company.
