Shanghai Youth Entrepreneurship Development Research

Fully employment is an important prerequisite to maintain the normal order of society. But now youth employment becomes increasingly prominent, because of the total amount of contradiction for oversupply of labor market and the existence of structural contradictions. Relying on existing enterprises to swap jobs, the space is limited. The key is to support entrepreneurship.Encouraging youth entrepreneurship, not only effectively alleviate the pressure on youth employment, but also build an innovation-oriented city and strengthen Shanghai's economic vitality. As early as 80 years in the last century, some developed countries abroad began to try to encourage entrepreneurship to solve the problem of youth employment.In order to have a comprehensive and rational knowledge of youth entrepreneurship, this paper not only reviews the development history of China's entrepreneurship, but also sorts out related entrepreneurship support policies.Based on the investigation on the status of youth entrepreneurship in Shanghai, this paper has an objective analysis on some bottlenecks which constraint for youth entrepreneurship development in Shanghai, such as young people having conservative values on entrepreneurship, lacking of entrepreneurial capacity, the government hasn't yet made the related supporting policies to be effective and so on. Referring to the successful experience which comes from encouraging and supporting youth entrepreneurship abroad, this paper puts forward targeted measures to promote the development of youth entrepreneurship in Shanghai from three aspects, which are to create an atmosphere to encourage entrepreneurship and enhance youth entrepreneurship ability, improve the entrepreneurship policy, strengthen the government's entrepreneurship services, and make the associations and intermediary organizations play a role in improving the social entrepreneurial environment. In this case, it can play a greater role in increasing employment opportunities and in building a harmonious society.
