In fact,essential hypertension (EH) with LVH itself is considered as an independentdangerous factor in cardiovascular disease; fOr it can gradually decreasediastolic and systolic function of left ventriculap thus finally lead to LVH.,decrease saving capacity of coronary allery circulation, so as to make coronaryheart disease more serious; and can stimulate and add various kinds ofarrhythInia,so as to become sudden death. Therefore the clinical experience ofhealing hyPertension disease is not only to descend blood pressure to a normalfigure, but also more importantly to decrease the probability of sudden death,arrhythInia, cardiac infarction as well as other cardiovascular dangerous factors,and to deteriorate LVH.The obvious symptoms performance of EH-LVH is the hypertrophy ofcardiac cells and interstitial fibrosis of cardiac muscle cells. In recent years,lots of research studies have reported that there are various kinds of factorsinvolving procedure as well as development of LVH, such as hemodynamtcs,nervus,body fiuid,endocrine,and so on.Modem medical science has made wide and deep research studies onpathogenesis of LVH by means of medicines and experiments. Howevef, untilnow a complete and united acknowledgement has not been reached, and theconcrete dynamic is still to be further studied. In clinical practice, there arefour kinds of hypertensive drugs: Angiotension I converting, Beta-receptorblockade, Calcium antagonist, CaA, and Diuretics. As we knoW the abovemedicines have certain effects on deteriorating LVH, but have side effects too,and the price is expensive.On the other hand, by using traditional Chinese medicines to heal chronicand aging disease, we can get supremacy of multi-asPects and multi-ways.Many scholars have got wonderful results in deteriorating LVH by usingChinese medicines. From the past clinical practice, the treatment promoting3blood circulation and eliminating phlegm as main principle can release theheight of LVH, perfOrm a good effect, and can improve patients' 1iving qualityAccording to our instructors' fulfiI clinical practice, EH-LVH patients' cIinicalPefformance, and the combination of TCM basic theory we have gOt idea thatthe pathomechanism of LVH is phlegn'turbidity and static blood obstructingof the heat. Therefore, we choose the said principle as main one to heal EH-LVH, and take TCM formula to make an exPerimental observation ofdeteriorating EH-LVH, and to invest the treatment of promoting bloodcirculation and eliminating phlegm.According to clinical practice, we found that the blood plasma SP figure ofthe patients, who had received the treatment of promoting b1ood circulationand eliminating phlegrn,increase, and on the contrary, their LVMI, MAP, PRAdecrease(Prt0.0l or Prt0.005). Furthcr experimental research also suggestedthat the compound formula could significanly decrease SHR's ET ANP, candectease or resist various kinds of growing factors as well as hormones, anddirectly go into the factor which formed LVH; can decrease the contains ofLPO, increase the activity of SOD, and improve the abnormal of oxgen freeradicals, so as to accomp1ished the deterioration of LVH.On this research, we have found that the treatment of promoting bloodcircuIation, e1iminating phIegm, and subduing the hyperactivity of the liverand enriching Qi, as well as its formula have the advantage of convenience,economy, obvious tr6ating effect, easy taking, and non-toxic side effects.Therefore, it is a TCM formula deserved promoting to EH-LVH. If we paymore attention to the studies on this topic in future, especially tO selectingeffective position and ingredients, we believe that after wide and deep studies,a bright prospect wi1l come out on deteriorating LVH by means of TCM.
