Purpose: To obtain rare ginsenosides with antitumor effects by biotransformation ofleaves of Panax notoginseng and to analyze the contents of products in different parts of Panax notoginseng.Material and method: The transformed products by Fusarium sacchari from theleaves saponin of Panax ginseng was separated by repeated silica gel, Sephadex .and HPLC chromatographies. The structure was identified by analysis of its spectral data. The quantitative of saponins in different parts of Panax notoginseng were determine by HPLC-ELSD.Results:1.In this research 10 compounds were isolated from transformed products by Fusarium sacchari from the leaves saponin of Panax notoginseng, The structures of 8 compoun -ds have been identified on the basis of physicochemical and spectrographic evidence as 20(S)-protopanaxadiol(â… ),20(R)-protopanaxadiol(â…¡),20(S)-protopanaxadiol(â…¢),20(S)-prot o-panoxadiol-20-O-β-D-glucopyranose(â…£),20(S)-protopanoxadiol-20-O-α-L-arabofuranose(1â†'6)-β-D-glucopyranose(â…¤),20-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl(1â†'6)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-20(S)-proto -panaxadiol(â…¥),20(S)23-3β-hydroxy-12β,23-epoxy-dammar-24-ene-20-O-β-D-xylopyra-nosyl(1â†'6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (â…¦) ,β-sitosterol (â…§) .2.The quantitative of saponins in different parts of Panax notoginseng were determine by HPLC-ELSD, the results showed that solution C-K,G-Mc,C-Mx of content was notoginseng stem >notoginseng flower>notoginseng fruit.Conclusion:1.Compoundâ…¡,â…¢andâ…§were first isolated from changed products by FusariumSacchari,compoundâ…¦was a new compound.2.The quantitative of transformed products were assayed by HPLC-ELSD, the resultshowed that stem was all highest The method of HPLC-ELSD was simple,accurate,reproducible.
