"the Sunset Is Magnificent - Xi'an City Elderly Music Education Research

Since the late 20th century, the trend of population ageing has become increasingly evident worldwide. China in 1999 also entered the ranks of the ageing society, as an earlier one of an ageing society in developing countries. Its rapid pace of development stood out, especially in some economically developed urban areas. Ageing has had a bad influnence on various aspects of social development and it will exist for a long time. Therefore, in this context, how to ease the ageing population has become the focus of the government and society.With the background of ageing population, based on the idea of a "lifelong education ","adult education "and "healthy ageing" and other relevant policies and the theory of social function of music and other related content, I make a survey on the current situation of the music education of the elderly in Xi'an urban areas, and in accordance with the problems found out, and I put forward the view:with "sustainable development"-oriented outlook, develop the music education of the elderly in urban areas of Xi'an, and illustrate its necessity and the specific implementation strategy.This article is divided into five parts:the first chapter introduces the reason to choose the subject, research methods, and current research situation, etc.; ChapterⅡof theory section describes the development of domestic and international population ageing characteristics, status of education for the aged, the elderly learning ability and the impact of music education on the physical and mental development of the elderly; ChapterⅢandⅣare the key parts, belonging to practical research component. This research, with densely populated new town, Yanta District, Beilin District, Lianhu Universities for the elderly, elderly centers, and parks as the main study sites, with the elderly participating in music activities as the main object of study, with the use of literature, questionnaire, interview, statistics and other research methods, investigates on the spot the status of the elderly in Xi'an City participating in musical activities and music education for the elderly at this stage and makes comprehensive collation, statistics and analysis of data surveyed and interviews. The result shows:the elderly in Xi'an City to participate in music activities have a higher degree of recognition, and a more reasonable approach and positive motivation, but the ratio to receive professional music education and the frequency is not high. The main reason is lack of funds, space, professional teachers and other objective factors. Therefore, with music education for the old to be long-term, stable and to develop healthily, the author, based on "sustainable development" concept, proceeding from the needs of the elderly and the current actual situation, put forward a series of strategies in favor of "sustainable development " of old music education in Xi'an urban areas, hoping to provide comments and suggestions for reference in achieving the "sound and rapid" development of elderly music education; Chapter V is Conclusion, "Sunset is magnificent "is not false, which the elderly proves to the world with their health, happiness.
