According to the modern society, the quality of interpersonal relationship and the interpersonal skills have become a significant index to measure the overall quality of youths. A lot of researches at home and abroad have shown that the quality of the interpersonal relationship has a great influence on youths'social skills, scholastic achievement as well as mental health.Grade Five and Grade Six in primary school is an important transitional period in youths' mental development. During this period, students are nearly at the end of school age during which their interaction with their companions gradually increase and the social abilities has a more and more influence on their adaptation to school and self-development. It is also a significant period in children's development on a socialized basis.For students in primary school, the social communication system, which is composed of peer relation, parentage as well as the teacher-student relationship, plays a crucial part in their growing course. Therefore, it is very important to understand and grasp the elements which influence the social anxiety of students in senior class of primary school.Therefore, this thesis firstly elaborates the recent researches from home and abroad on children's social anxiety, type of temperament and on father's upbringing mode. Based on this theory, by using questionnaire with 320 students randomly selected from four primary schools in Yanzhou and Qufu as testers, this paper will investigate children's social anxiety situations, influence factors as well as the solutions. This thesis has got the following conclusions:1.43.33% of students in the senior class of primary school have the tendency towards social anxiety, which is more severe among boy students.2. The social anxiety of students in senior class of primary school is influenced by the family status, class difference and scholastic attainment.3. The factors of children's social anxiety and the elements of their type of temperament are related in various degree.4. The type of temperament plays a positively predicative role on social anxiety. Children's social anxiety is positively predicated by melancholic temperament, whereas bilious temperament, sanguineous temperament and phlegm have a negatively predicative role on children's social anxiety.5. The factors of children's social anxiety and these of parents'upbringing mode are related in various degree. If parents shed warmth and happiness on their children, children will not be afraid of being negated and they will not avoid social communication. In this way, children's social anxiety will decrease more or less. On the other hand, if parents punish their children severely, or they overtly interfere with children's affairs, or they refuse the negation, children's social anxiety will increase.6. The factors of father's upbringing mode have positively and negatively predicative roles on social anxiety.7.
