College Students' Parents Upbringing, Self Harmony And Of The Relationship Between Social Anxiety

This research fucuses on the self consistency and congruence ofcollege students, also study the relationship of parental rearing pattern, selfconsistency and congruence and social anxiety through quantitative analysis.Mainly through the questionnaire survey and in-depth interview to investigatethe condition of college students’ parental rearing pattern, self consistency andcongruence and social anxiety, discuss the relationship between the threevariables. The research investigated200college students came from twouniversities by EMBU, SCCS and IAS to investigate the level of collegestudents’ parental rearing pattern, self consistency and congruence and socialanxiety. Use the difference test and correlation analysis to analyze the statistics.The data were analyzed by SPSS17.0, the methods included descriptivestatistics analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, regressionanalysis and general linear model. The main findings are as follows:1.Theparental rearing pattern of college students are different between urban andrural, genders, only and non-only students;2.The college students’self-consistency and congruence have no significant differences between urbanand rural, genders, only and non-only students;3.The basic situation of thecollege students presents normal distribution. Most of the college students areharmonious;4.The parental rearing pattern, self consistency and congruenceand social anxiety are relevant to each other. The college students’ selfconsistency and congruence took as a medium between the parental rearingpattern and social anxiety.Through the investigation and analysis about college students’self-consistency, parental rearing pattern and social anxiety, we got the resultsthat: parental rearing pattern had a direct influence on college students’ socialanxiety, the college students’ self consistency and congruence took as amedium between the parental rearing pattern and social anxiety. This result issimilar with the finding of high school students, as college students have beenfar away from their parents gradually, the parental rearing pattern not only willinfluent their level of social anxiety which is consistent with the fact and isreflecting the lasting effect on social anxiety. The results above, on the onehand can make up for the deficiency of the research in this field and fill in theblanks, on the other hand they can provide some theory basis for the cultivationof good personality, provide some reasonable suggestions for parents’ teaching,help parents educate their children scientifically, treat their children correctlyand promote the level of their children’s healthy of body and mind.
