Scale Of Adaptive Learning Model And Applied Research

The Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales have been developed using achievement goal theory to examine students' goal orientations and through which the adaptability of learning patterns can be found. The scales also examine students' learning environments that influence students' goal orientations and students' academic-related beliefs and strategies. Achievement goals are the aims and purposes of the achievement behaviours, and it refers to the goal of learning in the dissertation. The goals of learning differentially influence students' motivation, academic performance , learning strategies and emotion etc.. So achievement goal theory is very important in direct students' learning. However, the researches about achievement goal theory in our country are not enough at present. Regarding the importance of achievement goal theory and the researching situation of our country, the dissertation take the revision and the application of the Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales as the theme, attempting to revise the scales, make them have excellent psychometric properties, and do some application researches.The study contains the introduction of the research, the introduction of achievement goal theory, the introduction of the Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales, the revision and testing of the Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales, the application researches o f the Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales and the summary, which belong to three aspects: introduction of theories, introduction of revision and introduction of application researches. Field investigation, psychometric properties analysis and case study are used in the study.The revised scales have good psychometric properties, and can be used to do researches related to achievement goal theory. The study also draws some conclusions through application researches. The scales can give lots of useful information with which learning guidance can be offered to the students so that the students can change goal orientations and learn better.
