The popularization Of Putonghua is one of the most important components in the present language study. The expansion of Putonghua Proficiency Test all around the country shows that the popularization of Putonghua has been more scientific, standard and systematical. Thus, at present, it is of great importance to enhance the research of Putonghua teaching and Putonghua proficiency test in the dialect area.Based on the research of Wu'an dialect, the present study sorts out the phonetic system of Wu'an dialect and makes a careful comparison with that of Putonghua. The interlanguage theory is the theoretic basis in the present study . Wu'an dialect is regarded as the mother tougue, and the standard Putonghua, as the target language. The primary materials are the speech data in the Putonghua Proficiency Test. Combined with other materials, the present study analyses roundly the phonetic situation of Putonghua learning and use in the Wu'an dialect area. From the analysis, it can be found that the phonetic situation of Wu'an people has successively experienced different phases in the progressional process from the starting point (Wu'an dialect) to the end point (standard Putonghua), and on the whole it is quite disciplinary, that is, it gets over to different phonetics scales along with the progress of learning. The present study probes into and summarizes the progress of the phonetics scales in Wu'an people's Putonghua learning. And it also puts forward some strategies as referrence for Putonghua phonetics teaching in this dialect area. The present study tries to establish a general pattern for the analysis of Putonghua phonetics scales' progress in the dialect area, provides meaningful referrence for Putonghua teaching and test, and thus promote the popularization of Putonghua and the development of the correlative languages.
