Modern Chinese Complete Sentences Problem Discussed

The sentence-accomplishment study is a basic issue which has great study value. On the basis of the past achievement, we definitely divided the sentence-accomplishment study into three intrinsic parts: basic form, complete form and sentence-accomplishment constituents. They make up the outline of the issue. The main content of the dissertation includes:1. Turned divergences into common understanding, fixed the structure of basic form, laid out four basises of setting up the form, and raised three semantic rules which basic form must adhere to. Discussed the practical significance of defining basic form.2. Illustrated that the present study in fixing complete form is methodologically contradictive, expounded that complete form should be abstract, and suggested that the test be the sole criterion which can judge if a sentence is complete. Explained several problems about abstract pragmatics.3. Established the pattern of the sentence-accomplishment study made up of three parts: basic form, complete form and sentence-accomplishment constituents. On the basis of investigation of a mount of data, we once again arranged the constituents that have the sentence-accomplishment function(sentence-accomplishment constituents), fixed the essential property of sentence-accomplishment categories, according to this, summed up seven sentence-accomplishment categories that have a certain number sub-categories and explained the reasons for the sentence-accomplishment function of each sentence-accomplishment categories.
