As an important part of the textbook system, the teacher's manual plays a key role in teaching process. This thesis discusses some topics in this field, analyzes and compares some currently used Chinese textbook teacher's manuals, brings up some rules for editing it and some basic content that should be included.This thesis gives out the function of a teacher' manual, analyzes its positive and negative impacting in teaching process, emphasizes its importance in some fields such as textbook system, course system, training teachers and living teaching, verifying the necessity and importance of editing a good teacher'sIn order to change the situation that the editing of teacher's manual is always behind of the time, this thesis discusses the reasons for it by analyzing the contents of currently used Chinese textbook teacher's manual. Then, by comparing 5 sets of teacher's manual during 1980's and 2000's, this thesis finds out the shine points of them as the fruits of a maturing process.Based on all the jobs above, this thesis suggests some basic rules for editing a Chinese teacher's manual, practical, scientific, systematical, focalizing, matching and developable, and gives out some view points about the contents based these rules.
