On the base of the summary of related study about alienation and youth self-esteem, the alienation of senior middle school students and its correlation with youth self-esteem are quantitated and explored. It's to use "the Adolescent students alienation scale" developed by Yang Dong and the self work-out "the youth self-esteem inventory" to investigate 437 senior middle school students, then do case study with four of them. The results indicated:1,Senior middle school students from three differentschools:campus school,general school, vocational school have no significant difference in the holistic alienation, but it does exist in natural alienation,alienation between family,sense of oppression andrestriction, alienation of living situation, environmental alienation.2,The principal effect of grade does not exist on the sense ofalienation and all its dimensions, which means the alienation of adolescent students is relatively steady in the stage of senior middle school.3,There are no significant differences between genders in seniormiddle school students' alienation and its all dimensions except the sense of self-alienation, in which girl has greater degree.4,The difference between two genders varies greatly in different schools.5,The self-esteem is the main factor effecting the sense of alienation. Generally, the higher the self-esteem, the lower the sense of alienation.
